A significant portion of Jiveworld Español's subscription revenue goes directly to supporting Radio Ambulante.
Radio Ambulante is an NPR-distributed Spanish-language podcast that tells Latin American stories from everywhere Spanish is spoken, including the United States. With a catalog of more than 200 stories reported from over 20 countries, every episode is a sonic portrait of a region in all its complexity.
When Jiveworld started in 2018, we wanted to focus on just one language — Latin American Spanish — to demonstrate and prove our model for advanced language study. We approached Carolina Guerrero and Daniel Alarcón from Radio Ambulante early on to pitch the idea, and they were incredibly supportive. Radio Ambulante became the original founding content partner for the Lupa app, now known as Jiveworld Español.
