Jiveworld is an installable web application that you can use on your computer or mobile device directly just like any other application. We strongly recommend installing Jiveworld — especially on mobile devices. Here's why: 


  • Full application window — You get more space, with less noise (no bookmark bar, address bar, etc.)
  • Launch icon — No dealing with browser tabs, or typing web addresses. Just tap, and get to work.
  • Easy offline access — Especially when you don't have an internet connection, the launch icon makes accessing the app much easier.


For mobile devices you can also install from the App Store or Google Play, but we've found performance and reliability to be better when using Add to home screen (iOS) or Install (Android) from the mobile browser.


INSTRUCTIONS BY PLATFORM


MacOS, ChromeOS, Windows, Linux


We recommend using the Chrome browser or Brave browser. (Note: Macs don't support installing web applications from Safari. Our team uses Chrome on our Apple computers.) See Recommended web browsers for other options.


  1. Visit app.jiveworld.com in the browser.
  2. In the address bar, on the right, there should be an icon to "Install" — you may need to wait 10 seconds.



Alternatively, from the "three dots" menu on the top right, select Install.



Sometimes you may find it under Save and Share from the "three dots" menu:



Android


  1. Visit app.jiveworld.com in the browser.
  2. After a few seconds, there should be an Install prompt at the bottom of the screen.



iOS (iPhone or iPad)

You must use the Safari browser on your iPhone or iPad for the installation. 


  1. Visit app.jiveworld.com in Safari.
  2. Select the "Share" icon.



3. In the menu, scroll down and select Add to Home Screen.



4. Tap Add at the top.
